About the Event
Based on current trends, 33-55% of the older adult population will experience a fall at least once annually. It is likely that older adult falls will remain the number one cause of disability, hospitalization, and injury-related death for decades to come. Further, older adult falls have been linked to an increased occurrence of future falls and have been shown to underlie a “fear of falling” that dramatically reduces the quality of life.
