Low-Level Laser Therapy in Modern Podiatry
Evidence-Based Applications for Lower Limb Pain, Injury & Fungal Nail Management
A practical workshop for podiatrists who want to understand where laser therapy fits, what the evidence really means, and how to apply it more confidently in everyday practice.
- Sat 5 Sep
- 8:30am - 6pm
- Vibe Hotel Melbourne
- THE PROBLEM
Podiatrists are seeing increasingly mixed caseloads across pain, injury, recovery, chronic and dermatological presentations — but many still feel unclear on how laser therapy can help these patients in practice.
There is strong clinical research supporting LLLT as a non-invasive, non-pharmacological adjunct in podiatric care. The challenge is cutting through the conflicting information and translating the evidence into practical clinical application.
Some patients still need another way to move the needle
When patients present with recurring pain, but the usual treatment options don’t always give lasting results.
Sometimes clinicians need another way to influence recovery.
Conflicting information makes it hard to know what matters
Laser vs LED. Wavelength. Depth of Penetration. Power. Treatment time.
With so much conflicting information, it can be difficult to know which parameters are clinically meaningful.
Protocols are often taught without the clinical reasoning
Many clinicians are shown where to place the laser or which setting to select, but not always why that approach is used, when to adjust it, or how to think through different presentations.
